Offer of the Week - Ends 9/17/2008

Every week, I will post different services I can provide to help job seekers in their pursuit for the perfect career. There are some services I offer on a regular basis; however, every week I will update the "incentive" that comes with the services I provide. Don't get it? Well, take a look at the list of services provided below:

Resume Writing Service:

First time job seeker? Don't have a resume? Have no fear, Mel is here! (Corny, I know, but I could not resist the urge.) I can create a resume for you from scratch. By working with you (the job seeker) and getting to know your goals, I guarantee I can create a visually appealing resume that will land you at least three calls from interested parties within a three day period. (For those of you who are mathematically challenged, that is an average of one call per day.) Want more? Read on...

Resume Revamp Service:

Are you in search of a new career path? Haven't touched your old resume in years? Let me help you out. I can revamp your existing resume (update formatting, and create unique visual elements) to catch the attention of your prospective employers and highlight your best qualities. Want a complete resume overhaul? I can do that too!

Cover Letter Service:

The key to catching the attention of any prospective employer is an effective introduction. For this, a cover letter is absolutely key. I can compose a cover letter that may be altered for each employer you apply with, or, can create an individual cover letter for each genre or career path you are applying for (if that happens to be multiple).

THIS WEEK'S OFFER:

This week's offer is relatively simple - you use my resume writing or revamp service, and I will research and provide three quality job search results for you free of charge. Yes, I know, job search engines are generally free of charge anyway. HOWEVER, your time is valuable - most of us consider our time more valuable than money itself. Why not let me do the footwork for you this time around?

I also offer other services. Please do not hesitate to ask! I am also open to suggestions for services and will happily share the credit for great ideas.

Please contact me via email for price quotes - I GUARANTEE my fees are much less than the other guys out there. (I have a full time job. I don't need to charge that much money to make someone else successful!)

Message from the author:

To My Readers,

I am an outspoken, honest, opinionated individual who prides herself on assisting others. As you will see as you read through my blogs, I have a tendency to give information point-blank, without the standard sugar coating or technical jargon you may find elsewhere. What I've found in my time working with peers and clients in this realm of job searching is: not many people can cut through the "crap" and see the big picture when it's hidden by mumbo jumbo. As someone who has ventured down the road to locating a job that is suitable, I know what prospective employers are looking for in a resume. I know what "subliminal messages" are hiding behind the "big talk" and the often-times fabricated requirements. I've made the mistakes, now let me help you avoid them!

My blog is dedicated to those in search of answers and assistance. My email is open to those of you with questions, which I will reply to on a daily basis. If I find a question is presented often, you will likely see a blog written about it to eliminate the need for repeative personal responses. I do the research so you don't have to. It's that simple. Remember: I am here to help YOU. Not impress you with my knack for small talk.

- Mel DiMarco

Some of the topics you may expect to see in the beginning of these blogs are:

  • Proper dress code for an interview
  • The "dos and don'ts" of the job hunt
  • Resume must-haves
  • Job search etiquette

And much, much more! As you've seen, your questions are welcomed (and appreciated)! This blog is dedicated to helping YOU... and hopefully, entertaining you in the process.

Kudos!
